Stone’s Throw Coffee will be a home for local creativity in many forms: drag shows, local art, handmade goods, author readings, music, poetry, vendor markets, and community gatherings. If you write, paint, sing, stitch, print, or perform, there’s a place for you here.

Drag shows

Drag is at the center of what we’re building, not an afterthought. Stone’s Throw will host drag shows and showcases that celebrate queer artistry, give local performers a stage, and bring the community together. Are you a performer who wants to book a show? Reach out — we’d love to hear from you.

Featured local artists

We’ll rotate local art on our walls and stock vendor shelves with work by Knoxville makers — each feature will come with an artist bio, prices if the work is for sale, and a link back to the artist’s own site or shop. Our first featured artists will be announced before opening day.

Author readings

Local authors and readings will be an important part of the calendar: Appalachian writing, queer writers, poetry, and fiction. Readings are intimate, friendly, and built so writers actually sell books and meet readers. Upcoming dates are on the events calendar.

Help Us Build the Library

We’re building a small community library focused on queer books, banned books, social justice, local voices, and stories that help people feel less alone. Book donations are welcome, especially LGBTQIA2S+ books, frequently challenged titles, banned books, and works by marginalized authors.

Acoustic music

Singer-songwriters and small acoustic sets, kept at a volume where you can still hear the person across the table. Evening sets are sober-friendly — great music with no pressure to drink anything stronger than a double shot. See what’s coming up.
